About 40 Syrian food companies participate in the Gulfood Dubai exhibition

About 40 food companies from the major Syrian food companies will participate in the Gulfood Dubai World Food Exhibition, which starts on February 21st.

The Head of the Central Committee for Exhibitions at the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, Talal Qala Jai, stated that 20 Syrian industrial companies are participating in the Syrian Pavilion on an area of 227 meters, designed within a new and distinctive décor.

He added that about 20 other Syrian companies will participate in the specialized and international pavilions of the exhibition.

 

He considered that the 5-day exhibition constitutes an important opportunity to market and promote Syrian food products in the global markets, increase their exports to traditional markets, enhance their presence, in addition to opening new markets and supporting the national economy.

For his part, the secretary of the food sector in the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Ayman Zabadneh said that the participating Syrian companies vary between the industries of canned goods, biscuits, chocolate, ghee, oils, especially olive oil, in addition to the oriental sweets that Syria is famous for.

About 2,500 companies from 85 countries participate in the exhibition, and annually attract more than 100,000 visitors.
