About 133 thousand terrorists have been liquidated in Syria since Russia’s participation in the fight against terrorism there, says Shoigu

Moscow, (ST) – Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced that more than 133,000 terrorists have been eliminated in Syria since the Russian forces’ participation in the war on terror in Syria which began in 2015.

Sputnik quoted Shoigu as saying that, 865 leaders of terrorist organizations and more than 133,000 terrorists have been eliminated, including 4,500 from the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Shoigu pointed out that the (ISIS) terrorist organization no longer exists in Syria and not one terrorist has entered Russia.

On September 30, 2015, the Russian Air Force launched a military operation at the request of the Syrian state to support the efforts of the Syrian Arab Army in its fight against terrorism, which resulted in the destruction of thousands of targets of terrorist organizations, including various equipment and weapons, facilities for producing missiles, vehicles, cars and tanks transporting stolen Syrian oil to within Turkish territories.
