Abdullahian to his Chinese counterpart: The priority is to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has afirmed that the priority is to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, pointing out that the situation is very dangerous and may get out of control.

Abdullahian said in a phone call with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi: “If the Israeli entity’s criminal and ongoing attacks on Gaza Strip do not stop, no one can guarantee that the scope of the crisis will not expand,” calling on the Security Council to use its responsibility and capabilities to stop the Israeli aggression.

Abdullahian pointed out that the large numbers of martyrs and wounded in Gaza Strip and the occupation’s use of internationally prohibited weapons are clear examples of war crimes and mass murder against the people of Gaza.

On his part, Wang Yi called for preventing a serious humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza Strip as it contributes to undermining regional peace and destroying the peace process in the Middle East. He also considered that the main reason for the development of the situation in the region is the suspension of the right of the Palestinian people to establish their state and the failure to implement their rights to return.

The Chinese Foreign Minister said: “This historical injustice against the Palestinian people must end as soon as possible.”
