On June 19th, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian stressed that the presence of the occupying Zionist entity causes instability and insecurity and leads to terrorism and sabotage in the region.
In a telephone conversation with his Emirati counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed, Abdullahiansaid that Iran wants to preserve the security and development of neighboring countries and the region.
Abdullahian said that foreign interference and presence undermine the security of the region.
Abdullahian called for increasing exchange of visits between officials of the two countries, paving the way for the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.
The two ministers also discussed bilateral, regional and international issues.
For his part, the UAE Foreign Minister stressed in the call that the UAE will not allow any party to carry out sabotage acts against neighboring countries and will always take into account the security of its neighbors.
He referred to the common interests between his country and Iran with regard to strengthening bilateral relations, expressing his welcome to the continuation of periodic consultations between Emirati and Iranian officials.
The two ministers also discussed developments in the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran to lift the embargo.
