Tehran,(ST)- Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian stressed that the embargo measures taken by the European Union yesterday against Iran are useless.
The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted Abdullahian as saying in a tweet on Twitter that the European Union, with wrong calculations and through an nonconstructive measure based on a lot of wrong information, took obsolete and useless embargo measures against Iranians. He stressed that riots and destruction of public property are not tolerated anywhere in the world, and Iran is not exempt from this rule.
The European Union also yesterday imposed bans on 11 officials and 4 institutions in Iran, including the Minister of Communications Issa Zareepour, the moral security police, the Internal Security Forces and a number of their directors, under the pretext of human rights issues.
