The Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian has affirmed that his country is in constant contact with Syria regarding the issues of security and sustainable development in the region.
In a statement before leaving to Iraq to take part in Baghdad’s Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, which kicks off today, Abdullahian said “we will have direct consultations with Damascus concerning this conference and will affirm the pivotal role of the region’s countries in any regional initiative.”
Abdullahian reiterated that Tehran welcomes any regional initiative in which all countries of the region take part.
