Abdollahian: Washington must bear responsibility for the aggression against the Iranian consulate as it supports the Zionist entity

Tehran (ST) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian announced that a message had been sent to the American administration through the Chargé d’Affairs of the Swiss Embassy in Tehran, following the Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus, stressing that Washington must bear responsibility as a supporter of the Zionist entity.

Abdollahian wrote on his page on X platform: “The director of the American Department in the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the Chargé d’Affairs at the Swiss Embassy, considering that his country is a sponsor of American interests in Tehran. During the summons, the dimensions of this terrorist attack and the Zionist crime were clarified and the responsibility of the American administration was emphasized.”

For his part, Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Islamic Shura Council, Vahid Jalalzadeh, condemned the terrorist attack on the consular building, stressing that Iran will certainly provide an appropriate response to this aggression at the appropriate time and place.

“Such practices show the failure of the Zionist entity in the confrontation with the resistance in the West Bank and Gaza, and such operations are an indication of the predicament of this false entity and its prime minister, who seeks to expand the conflict zone”, Jalalzad added.
