Abdollahian: Israeli aggression on Iranian consulate was carried out with US-made missiles

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian announced Sunday that the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus was carried out with American-made missiles.

Abdollahian said in a statement in Oman that the Zionist terrorist attack on the Iranian diplomatic building in Damascus was carried out by using American-made aircraft and missiles.

He stressed that Tehran will hold the aggressors accountable and punish them and will take legal and international measures against them.

During a joint press conference with his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Abdollahian said: “The Israeli attack opened the way for warmongering and expanding the scope of war in the region,” adding that Iran is holding consultations with the Sultanate of Oman at the highest level with the aim of adopting important positions in the region and the world. He pointed out that the two sides have identical views on the need to stop the war and genocide in Gaza immediately.

For his part, Al-Busaidi said: “We support efforts to reduce the escalation in the region and address various issues and conflicts, and we call for wisdom to be present in this regard,” adding that the Palestinian cause is the main cause that we are working to solve in the light of the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories.
