Occupied Al-Quds- (ST)- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas renewed his call on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its aggression against the Gaza Strip, and to bring humanitarian, relief and medical aid into the entire Strip.
Wafa Agency quoted Abbas as saying today: We will not, under any circumstances, accept the displacement of Palestinians, whether from Gaza or the West Bank, outside their homeland, and we will not allow the tragedies of 1948 and 1967 to be repeated. He called on countries of the world that did not recognize the State of Palestine to do so immediately.
Abbas stressed that the situation in Gaza is very unfortunate, noting that more than 34,000 Palestinians were martyred, most of them children, women and the elderly, 75,000 were wounded, and 75 percent of the buildings, institutions, roads and universities in the Strip were destroyed.
He again warned of the occupation’s threat to invade the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip, where there are currently 2.2 million Palestinians, which means a new catastrophe that will befall the Palestinian people.
Abbas indicated that what is happening in Gaza applies in one way or another to the West Bank, expressing his fear that the occupation will move, after the end of its aggression against Gaza, to deport the Palestinians from the West Bank.
