Abbas calls on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to stop the genocidal war against the Palestinian people

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on the international community to shoulder its moral and legal responsibilities to stop the genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the policies of killings and attacks by occupying forces and settlers in the West Bank.

In statements quoted by WAFA, Abbas stressed the need to introduce greater quantities of food and medical relief items into the afflicted strip and to allow the Palestinian Red Crescent, UNRWA and all international relief organizations to play their part unhindered, pointing out the need to reach and provide assistance to all areas, including the northern Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian president held the Israeli occupation responsible for the outbreak of diseases, epidemics and famine in the Gaza Strip due to preventing the introduction of food and medical relief items, expressing his rejection of the occupation plan to displace the Palestinian people, stressing the need for the return of the displaced to their areas of residence.
