A landmine, left behind by terrorists in Al-Nashabiyeh area in Damascus Countryside exploded on Saturday, claiming the life of a young man.
According to Damascus Countryside Police Command, a 22 years old shepherd was herding in the farms of Harasta Al-Qantara village in Al-Nashabiyeh area in Eastern Al-Ghouta when the explosion occurred.
The blast caused serious injuries to the shepherd who died after he was transferred to the hospital. Two days earlier, a 10 year-old and an 8 year-old children were martyred as a result of a landmine explosion while they were playing near a deserted house in Afteris village in Eastern Al-Ghouta.
Since the liberation of Eastern Al-Ghouta from terrorism three years ago, the engineering units of the Syrian Arab Army have been working to demine the liberated areas with the aim of securing a safe return to the locals who were displaced from their residence places because of terrorism.
