A young man from Homs revives heritage with his unique artistic works

Heritage revival is a distinctive project for a young man from Homs who mastered his work, loved it, and believed in it, so he achieved great success.

The 34-year-old young man, Suleiman Sultan, told SANA, that his project is devoted to aesthetic articles , whether for home or any other place, by creating artistic masterpieces that he makes , through which he combines art and use in addition to reviving and recycling heritage. Especially that his passion for the profession of his father, who works as a “carpenter,” as he said, motivated him to master the work and go hard to develop it.

He emphasized that his work is carried out in his workshop, which is equipped with various types of small and big machines. As for his products, most of them are small, and most of the marketing started through the Internet. Recently, he opened his own “Bino” store that includes various artistic works and witnessed a wide turnout.

 Sultan stated that his works consist of various artistic pieces made of wood in addition to a number of high-quality products of natural silk and Damascene brocade, in addition to macrame and accessories.

He noted that his non-profit project is just a strange idea, passion, and love for this craft, indicating that he displays in his shop various products that his friends have made to be sold without any profits to help them start on their own work.

Regarding the types of wood he uses, the young artist stated that he uses various types of wood, such as walnut, berries, plum, clary and others, in addition to seashells and brass, stressing that he will work diligently to expand his project, which has become very well known in other provinces.

Suleiman Sultan participated in many exhibitions such as the Damascus International Fair and various exhibitions with several artists. He also worked for the Syrian Crafts Company of the Syrian Trust for Development.
