A US Tailored Resolution!

 Syria does welcome UNSC resolution 2170 and is fully committed to it, Walid Al-Moallem, Deputy Premier and Minister of Expatriates and Foreign Affairs declared earlier.

Actually, the question raised by many observers worldwide is whether such a resolution is too late; some would however say that better late than never. The late President Hafez Al-Assad dispatched envoys worldwide in 1983 as to define, issue and take  anti-terrorism resolutions and measures. Personally speaking as a Syrian citizen suffering from the plague of terrorism since the Israeli occupation uprooted me from my village in Golan Heights in June, 1967, I think the said resolution is a US tailored resolutions as to exploit more and more the card of terrorism.

A quick look at the US statements, stances for more than 50 years prove without fail that terrorism is but a US industry! As much as the manufacturing of weapons and means of killing is. The people of Syria, Iraq, Lebanon are not and should not be taken twice in the same snare. No country has so far taken a single measure to implement 2071 and other anti-terrorism resolutions. In fact, those who use terrorism as a means for their existence and interests are not expected to fight terrorism.

The victims of terrorism are fighting terrorism and are to pursue this fight. The US ploy is to characterize terrorists as “bad” and “good” and hopefully the US characterized “good” would be the cure for its playing with fire as well as with the lives of people.

“He who kills any Syrian, be civilian or military, is but a terrorist.” Minister Al-Moallem said recently in reply to a question regarding US classification of terrorists into “moderates” or not “moderates”. And what about more than tens of terrorist organizations including the so-called FSA and others; do they use flowers to shower the Syrians or what? in waiting for raining cats and dogs of flowers on the US blind officials and hopefully not on the US citizens among whom the majority is victimized by the blind terror of their consecutive administrations’ invasions and catastrophes.
