A US-backed SDF militant killed, two others wounded in an attack targeting their checkpoint to the west of Raqqa

HASAKA/RAQQA, (ST)-A militant affiliated to the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia was killed on Wednesday when unidentified persons opened their machinegun fire on “al-Furouseya” checkpoint which the SDF militia has established in the west of Raqqa city.

Two other militants were injured in the attack, according to local sources.

Attacks targeting the US-backed SDF militia have been escalated over the past period. An SDF militant was killed yesterday in the city of Tabqa, about 40 km west of Raqqa in an attack on the militia’s points at al-Howl camp, east of Hasaka. Another militant was seriously injured in the attack, the sources said.

Within the framework of their aggressive practices against civilians, the SDF militants kidnapped two young men from Al-Howl camp, east of Hasaka city and took them to an unknown place.

Another group of SDF militants stormed al-Souseh town, to the east of Deir Ezzor. They terrorized the locals under the pretext that they were searching for wanted people and SDF deserters.
