A UN committee calls for a just solution to the Palestinian refugee issue

New York (ST): The United Nations General Assembly Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People affirmed that the new global crises should not distract the international community from the violations of the Israeli occupation and the consequent serious situation in the occupied Palestinian territory.

In a statement reported by Wafa Agency, the committee stressed that the new global crises and worrisome conflicts should not distract the international community’s attention from the dangerous situation in the Palestinian territories and from the Israeli occupation practices that turn into the actual annexation of Palestinian lands to the settlements.

The committee called on the international community to mobilize the international community to enable the Palestinian people to determine their own destiny, find a just solution to the Palestinian refugee issue and end the Israeli occupation.
