A training program on renewable energies held in Homs in cooperation with UNDP

 Homs,(ST)- Activities of the training program in the field of renewable energies held by the Ministry of Local Administration in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program ( UNDP) were launched yesterday in Homs Governorate targeting 180 engineers who specialize in thermal insulation and photovoltaic systems from all Syrian governorates.

The program aims at activating and developing expertise in the field of thermal insulation. It also aims at raising the efficiency of energy use and rationalizing its consumption in buildings in order to increase the ability to face future challenges and ensure the growing demand for energy.

 It also aims at reducing the emission of heating gases that cause global warming and at training and enhancing expertise in the field of applying thermal insulation code procedures in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The program will last till the 18th of  February .
