In an implementation of the Ministry of Education’s plan to develop educational curricula in various stages of primary, preparatory and secondary, many training courses are held in all governorates to train teachers on the new curriculum in a step to achieve the aim of these curricula and to develop the teaching methods as well as to raise the level of teachers and students alike.
In support of the Ministry’s plan and under the auspices the Private Education department in Homs Directorate of Education, a training course on the new curriculum was held in Wadi Al Nasara area for the teachers of private schools in Marmarita, Ein al-Ajouz, Al-mozaina and Al-Hawash.
Director of Al Mozaina Private School, which hosted this training course, Mr. Rabah Mansour said: “Under the guidance of Mr. Mamdouh Al-Birini, Head of the Private Education Department at Homs Education Directorate, this training course has been recently held for all the teachers working in the private schools in Al-Wadi Educational Complex.
The purpose of the course is to train teachers how to deal with the modern curriculum in terms of preparing and giving lessons by using all the necessary teaching aids “.
Trainee, Miss. Mary Masouh said: “The course was very useful for us and the training methods were diverse and sophisticated and included all the modern educational and entertaining methods. Our trainer, Miss. Zelal Al-Rayes, made great efforts to make this course achieve its goals.
Among the most important topics we have discussed in the course were: the teaching methods, the lesson plan, and the analysis of the study units as well as the methods of developing the exam questions”.
It is worth mentioning that about 40 teachers took part in this 10-day course which is considered the first of its kind in the private schools in Homs.
