Sweida (ST): A tourist group from Lebanon visited Sweida Governorate, and toured a number of archaeological, religious and historical monuments and monuments there.
The tour of the group, which included 41 tourists, included the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Bosra, Houran and Jabal Al-Arab, the Church of St. George, the National Museum in the city of Sweida, and some historical and cultural archaeological sites in Qanawat and Shahba.
During the reception of the group in the Diocese of Bosra, Houran and Jabal Al-Arab in the city, Archbishop Saba Esber said to to reporters that this visit is evidence of the return of security and safety to Syria and normal life in its various regions, expressing his hope that efforts will continue to facilitate the return of tourists’ visits to the archaeological sites in Sweida.
The supervisor of the tourist group, Ziyad Khairallah, described the visit as wonderful, and that it constituted a day of joy for the members of the group to visit southern Syria, which is rich in its archaeological sites, after more than ten years, adding: “The Syrian regions are rich in their heritage, good people, and the beauty of their nature, and this visit will be a motivation for other Lebanese tourist groups to visit Syria with the return of stability and normal life to its regions.”
