A Syrian youth delegation  participates in the first world youth tourism summit in Italy

Damascus (ST): The Excellence and Creativity Authority is participating in the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism in the first World Youth Tourism Summit, which will be hosted by the Italian city of Sorrento during the period from 27 June to 2 July.

The authority said in a statement that the delegation participating in the summit represents an elite of its promising youth, distinguished by their culture and their ability to present themselves and the culture of their country with confidence and skill and to engage in dialogue on various global issues with logic, knowledge and openness.

It was explained  that this global event, which has become a new platform developed by the World Tourism Organization to enable youth between the ages of 12 and 18 years to participate in decision-making in the tourism sector, includes a series of international events, workshops and educational initiatives with the aim of exchanging and discussing ideas and forming the visions of the next generation for the future of sustainable tourism and its development.

The authority indicated that this summit, which the Ministry of Tourism is keen to attend, will bring together participants with United Nations officials, governments, representatives of the tourism industry, experts and other key stakeholders in important and major participation for Syrian youth, providing the opportunity to meet new people, explore other cultures and develop themselves.
