A Syrian doctor authors the first series of books in Arabic in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation
Tehran (ST): Syrian Dr. Salah Abdel Hafez Ghazi has succeeded in completing the first series of books in Arabic, in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Dr. Ghazi has recently graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and received an honorary degree for obtaining 100 percent in defending his doctoral thesis and ranked first in his courses during the doctoral stage with an average of 96.45. He also invented a new method in the evaluation and treatment of diseases and injuries of the spine.
Dr. Ghazi was invited to be an arbitrator in the Journal of Scientific Rehabilitation in Iran. He also published many judged scientific papers in which the name of Al-Baath University had a share.
In a statement to news correspondent in Tehran, Dr. Ghazi indicated that he had finished writing a series of books under the name “From Pain to Hope” and it consisted of 34 books on various physiotherapy topics, in which he explained the foundations and methods of physiotherapy for various diseases on a scientific and academic basis, indicating that the series will be published in the name of Al-Baath University, according to the university’s rules and regulations.
Ghazi said that the importance of this series comes because it is the first series of books in the Arabic language judged in the Arab world in the field of physical therapy, as the Arab library suffers from a scarcity of scientifically reliable Arabic references and is limited to some lectures and small brochures, especially in our country Syria, despite the increased need for this profession, especially during the years of the war on Syria and the injuries, wounded and disabled people that it left behind.
Ghazi added that this series aims to introduce people in general and medical workers in particular to this profession, which is no less important in the developed countries of the world than other medical specializations and may precede or overlap with it in most cases, indicating that this series of books will have an important role in advancing the profession of treatment, improving and developing the skills of workers and those interested in the field of physical therapy in Syria.
