Syria has recently participated in Abu Dhabi International Food Fair through a pavilion organized by the General Organization for International Exhibitions, which included nine leading companies in the field of food industries.
In a statement to SANA, director of the Foundation, Ghassan Fakiani, noted that the exhibition opened its activities at Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center in the United Arab Emirates. The Syrian pavilion extends over an area of 126 square meters, where the nine participating companies display various local products. He indicated that 445 specialized Arab and international companies from 41 countries around the world participated in the exhibition.
Fakiani pointed out that on the sidelines of the exhibition, a number of competitions were held, including the competition for the best product of coffee, honey and dates.
Haseeb Foodstuff Industry and Trade Company topped the list of contestants, and won the award for the most innovative product in coffee for the golden category.
The exhibition’s dialogue sessions focused on 3 main axes: food security, investments and innovation in food production, and industry in the field of food and beverages.
The exhibition hosted the “Adive Awards for Innovation”, which is considered a platform that allows displaying the world’s most innovative and distinguished products in the food and beverage sector. It provided visitors with the opportunity to keep pace with new global trends, realizing the role of investment in innovation and shaping the future of the sector. The exhibition activities also included a program “Global Buyers”, which aimed to strengthen and support partnerships with the suppliers and conclude new business deals with them in addition to securing new products.
