A Syrian art exhibition in China aims to strengthen cultural relations between the two peoples

 Syrian plastic artist Walid Ali inaugurated his third artistic exhibition in the Chinese city of Nanjing entitled “Syria’s Third Step on the Silk Road… Reflections of Light”.

During the opening ceremony, Ali stressed that the exhibition is a step within the cultural project carried out by his Syrian family in China, which aims to enhance the Chinese society’s knowledge of Syrian culture and civilization.

 

Ali expressed  hope that there will be other steps in the future on the Silk Road between Syria and China, saying: “We always work for my family and I am part of the bridge of Chinese-Syrian cultural exchange, and that Syria’s message is always peace.”

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Syrian family will hold various artistic activities to enhance the Chinese society’s knowledge of the Syrian civilization and a number of cultural lectures, in addition to presenting  the film “The Dream That Has Come True” by Syrian director Ali Ali.

The film  was ranked among the first distinguished films within the graduation film festival for master’s students at Nanjing University of the Arts Chinese.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Chinese government in Jiangsu Province, the Federation of Chinese Plastic Artists, the Federation of Chinese Designers, and a number of Chinese professors, plastic artists and designers.
