Damascus, (ST) – Today, the Syrian Arab People’s Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project, in cooperation with the International Al-Quds Foundation- Syria and the Palestinian Forces Alliance, held a symposium entitled “The March 8th Revolution Renews Itself”, at Dar Al-Baath in Damascus.
Chairman of the Committee Saber Falhout stressed the necessity of holding such events to educate the new generations about the achievements of the March 8 Revolution, which was a qualitative turning point that paved the way for other qualitative shifts that angered colonialism and the forces of Zionism.
Secretary-General of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front Khaled Abdel-Majid stated that the March Revolution is renewed in thought, politics and action, and is an important milestone in achieving major achievements, by mobilizing all the power of the people who are capable of interaction with creative revolutionary dealing in change, construction and modernization.
He noted Syria’s firm principles and commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause, because it realizes that any bargaining over rights will only lead to more submission and surrender to hostile schemes.
Secretary of the Damascus Countryside Branch of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Radwan Mustafa indicated that the entrenchment of the principles of the March Revolution in the people’s conscience, awareness and national belonging, and the revolution’s vitality gave it the ability to read events on the Arab and international levels, and thus the ability to renew itself continuously.
Secretary-General of the National Democratic Solidarity Party, Dr. Salim Al-Kharrat pointed to the effective and strong impact of the March Revolution on the conscience of the Syrian people and the Arab nation. He indicated that it adopted noble human values and principles and laid a strong foundation for a better future for the Syrian people and for all-out development.
Dr. Shahnaz Fakush, a former member of the Baath Party leadership, reviewed the achievements of the March 8 Revolution, especially after the Correctionist Movement that laid the foundations for a strong state in all fields to meet the aspirations and needs of the people at all levels.
