A Syrian student tells the suffering and the dreams of Syrian children due to war and sanctions through a 3D design
Through a three-dimensional design bearing the name “Yasmin Al-Amal”, 17-year-old Zaid Mosbeha collected many ideas and messages that he wanted to convey about the children of Syria and their suffering due to the terrorist war and the economic blockade on their country.
Zaid, a student at the industrial secondary school in Damascus, said: the design idea aimed to express the abilities and opinions of Syrian children and youth, indicating that “Yasmine”, the heroine of his design, is a child who was forced by the conditions of the terrorist war to leave Aleppo to Lattakia, and who lost her upper limbs due to her injury as a result of the earthquake that occurred last February. But the spirit of hope, patriotism, challenge and will were the source of her strength to continue life.
Zaid indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that hope revived in Yasmine after the installation of two prostheses to help her overcome her disability while carrying her pain and dreams of the rest of the Syrian children and presenting them through this design to tell the children of the world success stories of Syrian children despite their suffering from crimes of terrorism. Zaid stressed that he wanted through the design to shed light on the Syrian cities, history, and heritage, and to send a message that war and earthquakes did not stop Syrian youth from working to achieve their aspirations and hopes.
Zaid pointed out that the design of the child “Yasmine” took three months, and he previously designed more than one 3D model, most of which were engineering designs for buildings, and he is now preparing to complete a design for the city of Damascus.
During the launch of the design on Saturday on the official page of the Ministry of Education and through its educational platforms, the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabaa, stressed the importance of encouraging creative youth, and working to employ modern technology in education, which makes the realization of creative ideas more possible and beneficial to society.
