A Syrian-Dagestani meeting evolving around the humanitarian aid provided to the earthquake victims in Syria

The Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, met with the deputy in the Russian State Duma for the Republic of Dagestan, Radwan Qurbanov.

The two sides discussed the issue of humanitarian aid provided by the Clean Heart Fund in Dagestan to the Syrian people, in order to mitigate the repercussions of the catastrophic earthquake that struck Syria last February.

During today’s meeting at the headquarters of the Syrian embassy in Moscow, Qurbanov, who heads the Fund, indicated that the aid provided by citizens in Dagestan will be sent to Syria successively.

He said that the Fund sent 52 tons of humanitarian aid on board a ship that docked in the port of Tartous recently.

In his turn, Dr. Al-Jaafari expressed his sincere thanks to MP Qurbanov, stressing that this aid is evidence of the great love of the Dagestani people, who are friendly to Syria.
