In a new step to support young talents, the Mada Cultural Project launched its new project entitled “A Step on the Road” for children and adolescents, within several training centers in the neighborhoods of the city of Homs.
The project includes training workshops for children and adolescents in the fields of drawing, creative writing, expressive reading, journalism and media, with the aim of refining and encouraging their talents.
The manager of Mada Cultural Project in Homs, Ramiz Al-Hussein, said in a statement to SANA New Agency reporter that the “Step on the Road” project is a new step that helps children and adolescents from 9 to 15 years old stimulate their imagination, to complete an integrated project within team work, under the supervision of trainers from the team, who are artists,writers and media professionals. The project is being implemented through 10 theoretical workshops within the accredited centers in the neighborhoods, including field visits to the Directorate of Culture, the Environmental Park, the commercial markets and the local stadium.
Al-Hussein pointed out that the results of the workshops, including stories (written and drawn) , stories in the form of animated pictures with the voices of the participants, literary and journalistic writings, and others, will be published successively on Mada’s social media pages.
Young Rama Hassan, a volunteer at Mada team and supervisor of training children in the field of media and journalism, pointed out that she will work on training children on the principles of conducting an interview , writing news and distinguishing between rumor and true news, noting that some of the participants possess the talent of confident presence, boldness and curiosity, and they can succeed in the media field.
