A stand in Ramallah in support of the prisoners in the occupation’s prisons

Dozens of Palestinians, including students, participated today in a solidarity stand in the city of Ramallah in the West Bank in support of the prisoners in Israeli occupation detention.

Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the stand organized by the Palestinian national forces in Al-Tira neighborhood of the city raised the Palestinian flag, banners and pictures in support of the prisoners in the occupation prisons stressing the need to support them. The stand coincided with the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The participants affirmed that there are about 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside the occupation prisons facing harsh detention conditions and continuous Israeli violations against them, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.

The participants called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and stop the racist policy of occupation and the necessity of providing the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, including the prisoners and children who face daily violations by the occupation.
