On January 9th, dozens of Palestinians participated in a stand in the town of Qalqilya in the West Bank in support for the prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, who has cancer.
According to Wafa News Agency, the participants in the stand raised Palestinian flags and banners calling on the international community to take urgent action to pressure the occupation to release the prisoner Abu Hamid, who is living in difficult health conditions that threaten his life and the rest of the prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, especially the sick.
Various towns and villages of the West Bank have recently witnessed solidarity stands and demonstrations to support of the prisoner Abu Hamid, who has been detained since 2002.
The protesters called on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to release Abu Hamid immediately, especially after his health deteriorated a few days ago and he was placed in a coma.
