A stand in Qalqilya demanding  the return of the bodies of the martyrs that are being held by the Israeli occupation

Occupied Al-Quds,(ST) – Hundreds of Palestinians participated in a stand on Tuesday in the city of Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank, demanding the return of the bodies of the martyrs, which are being held by the Israeli occupation.

Wafa News Agency stated that the participants in the stand, which was organized by the Palestinian national forces in the city, raised pictures of the martyrs, whose bodies are being held by the occupation. They called for the need to release the bodies and hand them over to their families for burial.

The director of the Prisoners’ Club in Qalqilya, Lavi Nasura affirmed that the Palestinian people have pledged  their martyrs, prisoners, and wounded to continue the struggle in defense of the national rights for which they were raised, wounded, and arrested, and to continue the resistance until liberation.

The brother of the martyr Anis Daula demanded the release of his brother’s body, which was lost after he fainted in the Israeli Ashkelon prison in 1980 . Two years later, the occupation admitted that his body was dissected and detained. He said: We have the right to recover the body of our brother and bury him in his hometown, in the city of Qalqilya.

The Palestinian National Campaign to Recover the Bodies of the Martyrs documented the occupation’s detention of the bodies of 398 martyrs, including 142 who were martyred after 2015, and the bodies of 14 children, 5 women, and 11 prisoners who were martyred inside the occupation cells due to torture and medical negligence.
