A Stand By Syrian Children To Denounce Crimes of Israeli Occupation Against Children in the Occupied Syrian Town Of Majdal Shams
Damascus –(ST)- A number of Syrian children held a protest on Wednesday in front of the United Nations headquarters in Damascus, denouncing the brutal massacre committed by the Israeli occupation entity against the children and residents of the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan.
The children addressed a message to the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Arabic and English, demanding an end to the crimes of the Zionist occupation against children so that they can live in peace and dignity, and to protect childhood from all injustice and aggression in the occupied Golan, thus the United Nations may be a shield and fortress for childhood in the world in general and in Palestine and the occupied Golan in particular.
In a statement to journalists, member of the Central Command of the Arab Socialist Baath Party and head of the Education and Vanguards Office, Dr. Muhammad Izzat Arabi Katbi, explained that the Baath Vanguards Organization and the Ministry of Education, which supervise childhood in Syria, share with our children and people in Majdal Shams their grief over the martyrdom of a group of Syrian children at the hands of the Zionist entity, which has become accustomed to committing massacres against childhood in particular and humanity in general, stressing the importance of children participating in their stand to convey their message to the entire world about the necessity of protecting childhood and children’s rights.
For his part, Minister of Education Mohammad Amer Al-Mardini stressed that we all share the great tragedy of our people in Majdal Shams, considering that the Majdal Shams massacre is added to the criminal record of the occupation, and is a continuation of its massacres in Gaza and Palestine, stressing that justice will take its course and the occupied Golan will return liberated.
A number of participating supervisors explained that the stand came in response to the children’s desire to express their deep sorrow for what happened to their brothers in Majdal Shams and to denounce the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against children and residents in the occupied Golan, and to express standing by them, solidarity with them, and pride in their sacrifices and steadfastness, which adds to the legend of their steadfastness and adherence to the land and identity.
The Israeli occupation committed a heinous crime in the occupied town of Majdal Shams on the 27th of last month, which claimed the lives of 12 martyrs and wounded dozens of children as part of its ongoing crimes and attempts to escalate the situation in the region.
