Solidarity stands with Syria in Algeria, Tunisia

The Syrian Embassy in Algeria on Saturday organized a stand in solidarity with the Syrian people in the face of the western unilateral coercive measures. Members of the Syrian community in Algeria, the embassy staff and several Algerian citizens as well as politicians and popular and national personalities took part in this stand.

Participants called for lifting the brutal sanctions imposed on Syria, particularly in the light of the earthquake that hit the country and caused massive humanitarian crisis that needs urgent intervention by the world to address this ordeal.

The participants affirmed their pride in the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the face of the war and sanctions.

The stand comes within the framework of the solidarity stands organized by Syria’s embassies in several countries of the world. More stands and solidarity activities are to be in Algeria to convey the Syrian people’s calls to the world.

Tunisia

Meanwhile in Tunis, the Syrian students in Tunisia and the Tunisian National Coordination Group for breaking the blockade impose on Syria organized a stand in solidarity with the Syrian state in the face of the unfair western sanctions.

Participants in the stand condemned the unjust siege imposed on the Syrian people  by the American imperialism and its allies, calling for lifting this siege immediately and restoring normal Arab and international relations with Syria.

The participants called for sending urgent humanitarian aid to the people affected by the earthquake in Syria and for holding more solidarity stands that call for supporting the Syrian people and for ending the coercive measures imposed on their country.
