A solidarity stand in West Bank city of Al-Bireh to support of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails
Tens of Palestinians on Wednesday took part in a solidarity stand in the West Bank city of Al-Bireh to express their support for the sick and the hunger striking prisoners in the Israeli occupation jails.
WAFA News Agency reported that participants in the stand, which was called for by the Palestinian national forces, raised the Palestinian flag as well as images of the 50 Palestinian hunger striking prisoners and the sick prisoner Naser Abu Hamid who suffer from cancer. The participants called for releasing the prisoners and halting the occupation violations against them, mainly the deliberate medical negligence.
30 Palestinian prisoners continue with their hunger strike for the 18th day. According to the Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs Commission, the hunger strikers began to suffer from fatigue, weight loss and pains in the joints.
The commission pointed out that 20 other Palestinian prisoners continue with their hunger strike for the 4th day aiming at ending their detention.
900 Palestinian prisoners in Ofer prison are currently on a hunger strike in solidarity with other Palestinian hunger strikers in Israeli detention center.
