A Seminar on Ways to Counter Extremist Takfiri Ideology Held in Homs Branch of the Revolution Youth Union

Homs, (ST)-Under the title «Extremism, the emergence of the idea and how to uproot», The (RYU) preparation and information bureau has recently held a dialogue seminar attended by Dr. George Yousef, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Baath University.
The concept of terrorism and its forms and effects on the society, terrorism supporters and financiers and its relation to the war on Syria and its consequences, the most important of which is, extremism in the religious, political and economic aspects, are among the most important topics discussed during the seminar.
The lecturer talked about the terrorism practiced by the social media and the role of society in confronting this terrorism, especially the youth generation, in raising awareness to counter extremist ideas and developing plans, strategies and steps to overcome this stage by the immunization of young people later against extremist ideology, intolerance and stressing the idea that all the people are citizens in this country as well as the need for correspondence between school and family.
