A Russian parliamentarian calls for the withdrawal of the American occupation forces from Syria as soon as possible

On April 3rd, the Deputy Head of the United Russia party bloc in the Russian State Duma, Adalby Shakhagozhev has called for the withdrawal of the American occupation forces from Syria as soon as possible.

Shakhagozhev said in an interview with SANA reporter in Moscow:

“The Americans’ exit from Syria is not linked to their support for terrorist organizations there, or the protection of their interests in the region, and if they do not leave voluntarily, they will be defeated sooner or later.”

He notedthat the United States has practiced the worst types of hostility actionstowards the fragmentation of Syria and support for terrorist organizations by promoting the spirit of separatism, including through attempts to establish a terrorist state in it.

He stressed that Washington must understand what happened to it in Afghanistan, and that Syria is the country that is capable and most qualified to defeat the Americans from its lands.

He said: “Syria has begun to rebuild what was destroyed by terrorism and resolve its internal issues, and it also realizes that Russia stands behind it.”
