Under the direction of the Governor of Damascus, the Directorate of Old Damascus has launched a restoration campaign in the historic Souq Al-Harir, ( Silk Market) one of the city’s oldest markets and a key access point to the famous Al-Hamidiyah Souq.
The campaign includes infrastructure maintenance works such as electricity and sewage systems, as part of efforts to preserve the historical identity of this ancient market, considered one of the oldest commercial centers in the world.
