A research institute in Switzerland closed Because of a post supporting Palestine

Bern (ST) – The Swiss University of Bern announced today the closure of the “Research Institute for the Middle East and Islamic Societies” against the backdrop of a publication supporting the Palestinians published by one of the institute’s academics, in clear bias towards the Israeli occupation entity.

The administration of the University of Bern stated that the decision to close the institute in its current state came based on the results of the report prepared within the framework of the administrative investigation, according to the university’s president, Christian Lohmann.

It is noteworthy that one of the institute’s academics was previously expelled from his job after he published a positive comment about the Qassam Brigades.

Thousands of activists complained on social media platforms that their pro-Palestinian posts were being blocked or deleted after posting messages of support for Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
