A remarkable turnout for the shopping festival (Welcome to Eid) in Homs

The “Welcome to Eid” shopping festival, which began its events a week ago in the governorate square in the center of Homs, is witnessing an impressive turnout from various social groups.

The festival, which will run until the eighth of next month, will involve 125 commercial and industrial businesses and will feature a wide variety of commodities that meet the daily living needs of citizens of various types of food, clothing, detergent materials, etc., with discounts of up to 30%. Competitions and awards will be held for participants and visitors along with a children’s joy train and heritage concerts throughout the festival.

Visitors to the exhibition agreed that the exhibits are excellent and cheaper than the rest of the markets, and that the offers are suitable and the prices are cheap compared to the rest of the markets, stressing that Homs is characterized by its markets and prices suitable for different segments of society.

Basem Masharqa, a producer of all kinds of candy and malban, and Rifat Tawakul, the exclusive agent of one of the food factories, indicated that the discounts on their products at the festival reach up to 25 percent, meaning that the product is delivered to the consumer without an intermediary, especially as the Eid approaches.

Ronnie Al-Bitar, who sells honey products, says that rebates on his products are up to 30% and the turnout is good.

Alaa Ali, who supervises a medical herbal stand, says that her company in Tartus is participating for the first time in the festival with special offers and received a welcome from visitors.

Firas Al-Moussilli, organizer of the festival, noted that the festival comes just before the coming of Eid al-Adha, which constitutes an opportunity for people to shop from various products and commodities, as it is located in the center of the city and witnesses competition between producers and owners of the participating events as the festival’s goal is certainly to promote and sell without intermediary.
