Los Angeles (ST): A number of Syrian and Arab community members and American solidarity activists called during a protest stand in Los Angeles, USA, to lift the blockade and all unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria.
Fatima Attia, one of the founders of the Arab Committee for the Defense of Syria, said in a statement: “The committee organized this stand to denounce the unjust siege on Syria and the continued imposition of the American administration and its European allies of unilateral coercive measures on Syria, especially after the devastating earthquake that hit the country on the sixth of last February, which caused difficulty for the arrival of humanitarian aid and relief operations.
Attia added, “We also demanded, during the stand, the exit of the American occupation forces that are illegally present on parts of the Syrian lands, and to stop the looting that these forces are carrying out with their affiliated militias of Syrian oil and wheat.”
Attia mentioned that the stand, which was held in front of the federal building in Los Angeles, was attended by a number of members of the Arab community and solidarity activists from American anti-war organizations.
The participants raised the Syrian flag and slogans calling for the immediate lifting of the blockade and an end to the coercive measures imposed on Syria.
