A preventive campaign against Leishmania covering Latakia and its countryside

Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers cross everyday long distances through Lattakia and its countryside to raise awareness  regarding Leishmania Disease in local communities, as well as providing preventive tools to help them avoid infection in a preventive campaign extending for a month. The campaign, supported by NRC and ICRC, includes mosquito nets distribution and conducting awareness sessions on Leishmania disease, its causes, symptoms and ways of prevention, and it is carried out with adherence to the precautionary procedures that prevent the spread of COVID19.
