A plan to plant one and a half million hectares of wheat and 105 thousand hectares of legumes

The Ministry of Agriculture plans to plant about one and a half million hectares of wheat and 105,000 hectares of legumes for the next season.

According to the plan, the areas planned for cultivation for irrigated and rain-fed wheat amounted to 1,493,309 hectares, of which 536,838 hectares were in safe areas, while the areas planned for cultivation for barley amounted to 1,431,548 hectares, of which 498,937 hectares were in safe areas.

This season, it was planned to follow an ideal agricultural cycle and expand the cultivation of leguminous crops, as the crop plan for chickpeas reached 86,356 hectares, beans 19,383 hectares, peas 4,787 hectares, and lentils 115,912 hectares.

The plan for winter fodder crops reached 100,000 hectares, medicinal and aromatic crops 63,484 hectares, spring potatoes 20,064 hectares, and various winter vegetables 32,595 hectares.

The summer crop plan indicates planting 500 hectares of cotton, 9,361 hectares of tobacco, 34,158 hectares of potatoes, 64,880 hectares of yellow corn, and 12,618 hectares of tomatoes.
