A number of Palestinians injured as a result of the occupation suppressing a demonstration in Nablus

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): A number of Palestinians were injured today as the Israeli occupation forces suppressed an anti-settlement demonstration in the town of Beita, south of Nablus in the West Bank.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces fired a barrage of bullets and poison gas canisters at the participants in the demonstration that took place near Jabal Sabih, in refusal to establish a settlement outpost on its summit, which led to the injury of a number of Palestinians and cases of suffocation.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, seized at dawn today a Palestinian house in Wadi Hilweh neighborhood in Silwan town in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Wafa news agency quoted the Wadi Hilweh Information Center as saying in a statement that settlers, under the protection of dozens of occupation forces, stormed the neighborhood and took over a two-storey house.

Thousands of Palestinians in Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, face the threat of forced displacement as a result of the Israeli occupation’s seizure or demolition of their homes in order to besiege Al-Aqsa and the Old City of occupied Jerusalem from the southern side with settlements to complete its plans to Judaize the city and empty it of Palestinian presence.
