The Syrian Export “Motex Khan Al Harir exhibition”- spring-summer 2024, which specializes in fashion, fabrics, and production supplies, concluded yesterday evening. Its activities were launched on the grounds of the exhibition city in Damascus countryside with the participation of more than 400 national companies.
During its four days, the exhibition witnessed the signing of contracts by participating companies with visiting businessmen from Arab and friendly countries to export the products of textile industrial facilities to Arab, regional and other markets.
The head of the Federation of the Syrian Chambers of Industry Ghazwan Al-Masri said in a statement reported by SANA, that the exhibition was successful and all participants secured export contracts for their establishments’ products, especially children’s clothing. He noted the importance of directing support for exports through internal or external exhibitions.
Al-Masri explained that this exhibition is the foundation for other exhibitions not only in the textile sector but also in the food, chemical and engineering fields thanks to the Federations’ combined efforts and cooperation. He noted the government’s support for this exhibition which we hope will expand to other exhibitions.
For his part, member of the Board of Directors of Damascus Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Exhibitions Committee of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce Mohieddin Arab Al-Halabi explained that the exhibition has resulted in signing export contracts by all participants with visiting businessmen from various Arab countries.
In turn, Head of the Syrian Clothing and Textile Exporters Association Ragheed Al-Halabi pointed out that the exhibition achieved its goal in encouraging the participants to sign export contracts for their products, especially as the holy month of Ramadan is approaching. He stressed that this success, achieved by the exhibition through the combined efforts of all parties concerned with the export process, will continue in the upcoming exhibitions for the benefit of the Syrian textile sector and the benefit of the national economy.
