A New Era for Syria: Minister Shaibani’s Address

Minister Shaibani stated, “I am pleased to address you after I raised the flag of Syria alongside the flags of 193 other countries. This flag represents a symbol of change following years of pain and countless victims.”

– After the fall of the al-Assad regime, Syria began to find rest, and people from various countries, along with their refugee children, arrived in our land.
– I am here today to represent the new Syria, and we will continue to work tirelessly to achieve peace and justice for everyone affected by the al-Assad regime.
– For the first time, major international organizations have been granted access to our territory, which the previous regime denied. – In Syria, planes have begun to drop flowers instead of explosive barrels, and we have taken decisive action against the drug trafficking that threatened our region.
– We are coordinating with the international community to counter terrorist threats and are effectively cooperating to address the chemical weapons issue.
– The remnants of the defunct regime attempted to incite a civil war in Syria by exacerbating tensions in the Coastal Region.
– We have united the military factions and ended the era of factionalism. Soon, we will announce a transitional justice commission and a commission for the missing.
