A new book highlights the brave sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army

The Syrian Arab Army has been an example to follow in the struggle and sacrifice for the sake of preserving Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The wounded Azzam Ahmed reviewed in his second book “The Story of Jarih” (wounded) of the series “We Have a Life in Fantasy” the stories of a number of his wounded colleagues of the valiant Syrian Arab Army.

The book pointed to the memories of the wounded personnel of the Syrian Arab Army before, during and after the terrorist war on Syria and their great sacrifices in the face of terrorism and its crimes.

Ahmed managed to live vigorously despite his visual injury and he has recently won two silver and bronze medals at the Olympic Games held in Lattakia.

Ahmed explained in an interview with SANA that his first book published last year of the aforementioned series, which was considered a war document,   summarized the steadfastness of our brave men in the face of the Takfiri terrorist groups.

The six chapters of “the story of Jarih” book recounted the stories of 14 wounded heroes of the Syrian Arab Army, after the writer of the book had visited about 30 of the wounded soldiers to listen closely to what was going on in their minds and what they remembered of stories and events.

During the book’s signing ceremony, which was hosted by the Arab Cultural Center in Tartous, with the support of “Jarih Watan”   team, the writer Duha Ahmed stressed that the writer’s book expressed the wounded soldiers’ hope in life and their insistence on taking their role effectively in reconstructing their country despite their injuries.

Ahmed pointed to the end with which the writer concluded his book, where wounded Ali Balloul , became a professor after losing his sight.

The wounded soldiers, whose stories Azzam addressed in his book, confirmed the distinction and symbolism of the experience they have subjected to as well as the influential moments they lived during their confrontation with terrorism and the great heroisms they embodied together, such as saving a wounded person or insisting on keeping the body of a martyr so that it did not remain with the terrorists.

The wounded Alaa Ghanem stressed the stories of the wounded personnel of the Syrian Arab Army in the book represent the memory of a homeland for the next generation to remain forever.
