A new achievement by cadres of Syrian trading corporation in Hama contributes to raising its storage capacity

The technical team of the Syrian Trading Corporation, Hama Branch, completed the repair of a German hydraulic compressor of the “Peters” type, and returned it to the operating system in the refrigeration unit, thus saving millions of Syrian pounds, and raising its storage capacity to 3400 tons, after its success last July in re-operating a Japanese compressor.

Engineer Haider Al-Yousef, the supervisor specialized in the maintenance of refrigeration systems and the supervisor of the maintenance team noted that this compressor is German-made, with a capacity of 22 kilobars. It stopped working  several years ago as it was not possible to import replacement parts or new compressors due to the economic siege imposed on the Syrian people.  So, the decision to renovate this compressor was taken to contribute to supporting the refrigeration unit in purchasing and storing agricultural crops from farmers.

Thanks to these efforts, the storage unit is working at its maximum capacity in terms of storing agricultural crops. The team has become more experienced in maintaining all the joints of the cooling systems, and this experience can be used in the rest of the refrigeration units of the Syrian Trading Corporation.
