A national rally in the Cornice of Tartus, to reject and denounce the so-called Caesar Act

Participants in the national rally that was held today on the Cornice of Tartous Beach confirmed their rejection and denunciation of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people and their condemnation of the so-called “Caesar Act”, stressing their adherence to national principles and standing with the homeland to confront the economic war and the unfair siege that the Syrian people are being subjected to.

Participants in the rally lifted a 2-Km national flag and raised banners denouncing economic terrorism and emphasizing the steadfastness in the face of the aggressive forces that failed to achieve their plans previously through the terrorists. The participants stressed that after the elimination of terrorism, the aggressive forces resorted to another form of terrorism represented in the inhuman blockade on the Syrian people, thus depriving them of their right to lead a decent life. The participants drew attention to their support to the Syrian Arab Army to counter terrorism.

The Director of Tartous Endowments, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sayyed stressed in his speech that today’s message is from all sectors of the Syrian people and that we will defeat the siege as we have overcome terrorism.

Both Sheikh Muhammed Yahya and Firas Salman reiterated that this rally is an affirmation of the Syrians ’resilience in the face of sanctions and their insistence on resistance to realize victory, indicating that the Syrian people are renewed and capable of overcoming the so-called Caesar Act through work, production and self-reliance.

Ghinwa Hassan, the wife of the martyr Iyad Ghanem, gave a speech on behalf of the families of the martyrs, in which she emphasized that whoever sacrificed in defense of his homeland will not allow his sacrifices to be wasted, and as the pure blood  triumphed over terrorism, we will win over the unfair siege thanks to our unity and steadfastness.

The head of Tartous Branch of the Union of Journalists Aidah Dayob, confirmed that the journalists would remain the mouthpiece of every free and honorable Syrian through their voices and stances.

Engineer Nagham Asfouri said that no one has the right to impose on us anything that contradicts our principles. Whoever stands and sacrifices during the terrorist war is able to withstand and overcome all pressures.
