MoU between the Syrian and Saudi Football Associations to develop the game

Riyadh, (ST) – On the sidelines of the Conference of the Arab Football Federation in Saudi Arabia, the Chairman of the Syrian Football Association Salah Ramadan and his Saudi counterpart Yasser Al-Mishal signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU)  to promote and develop football in both countries.

The MoU focuses on holding training camps for the Syrian national teams in Saudi Arabia, enhancing the junior category and conducting comprehensive training for referees and workshops for coaches.

As part of the MoU, the national teams for the age groups in both countries will participate in friendly matches and tournaments in the future. It is also an opportunity for the women’s national teams to benefit from competitive training camps, and the Syrian Association will be provided with the Var-light technology.

The Chairman of the Syrian Football Association, Salah Ramadan, said: The signing of this agreement is an important step to support Syrian football in order to rebuild it, especially in the age groups.

The Chairman of the Saudi Association, Yasser Al-Mishal stressed the importance of strengthening relations within the Arab football community and enhancing cooperation with the Syrian Association is a step towards supporting Asian football.

The Chairman of the Arab Football Association, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, expressed the Association ‘s readiness to provide all forms of support to the Syrian Association, including the possibility of maintaining some stadiums.
