“A Moon on the Euphrates”, a novel that reveals the scandals of terrorism by writer Muhammad Al-Taher
Moon on the Euphrates, a new novel by the writer Muhammad Ahmed Al-Taher, that monitors the disasters of terrorism in a balanced and innovative artistic way.
In the novel, the event begins in an unexpected manner with the murder of a beautiful woman’s husband and the beginnings of the investigation into the crime that occurred treacherously in her husband’s house, and the investigators begin to link her beauty with the events of the crime.
The novelist Al-Taher reveals many of the terrorist practices that affected society through events revolving around Qamar and the killing of her husband, and the repercussions of the crime in the beginning of the investigation by the police, in the judiciary and the final ruling on her, and her release from prison, to begin her new journey in life with her friends.However the militants had begun their attack on Euphrates region, and the events turned completely to the reality of the presence of militants in the region.
The novel talks about terrorist groups and their criminal practices against women, and the systematic and deliberate corruption that they are trying to spread in society.
On the other hand, the novel shows the bravery of the men of the Syrian Arab Army and the nobility of their dealings and morals.
The 216-page novel is one of the publications of the Syrian General Organization for Books.
The novelist Al-Taher has a number of publications, including in the story “A Quiet Night’s Wedding”and“Perhaps It Rains Joy”, and in the novel “The Land of Jihad and the Tragedy of a Respected Man”.
