A Ministerial Committee to Follow up Service Projects in Homs Governorate

Homs, (ST)- The ministerial committee in charge of following up service projects in Homs province, headed by Dr. Nizar Yazji, Minister of Health and Eng. Mohamed Rami Martini, Minister of Tourism, discussed the projects that have been completed in Homs and the rates of achievement and the new projects being planned, in the presence of Governor of Homs Talal al-Barazi and a number of directors of government institutions.

Dr. Nizar Yazji, Minister of Health, said that a lot of  projects in Homs province have been completed at different rates and others are under completion by a good percentage, thanks to the efforts of the various institutions of the province which are working continuously to implement service and vital projects in different regions. He also stressed the need to develop a plan for the search for new development projects  according to the possibilities and credits that are allocated with the importance to develop a detailed memorandum on all the projects and to clarify the reasons.

For his part, Minister of Tourism Mohamed Rami Martini pointed out the importance of Homs Governorate in terms of tourism and the facilities provided by the ministry for further recovery of the tourism sector.

He confirmed  that the ministry is preparing for a tourism investment forum in the coming months that will offer investment benefits and many exemptions.

For his part, the Governor of Homs, Talal Al-Barazi, affirmed the importance of the continuous government support for the projects of Homs province, especially for the areas that are being liberated which hastens the return of the people to their areas.

 He indicated that the institutions of Homs province are working within the neighborhoods of the city and the rural areas to secure the basic services.

During the meeting, a detailed explanation was given on the status of the 59  completed projects , of which 20 projects are under construction and some projects have reached more than 70%. These projects include various fields in services, health sectors and road paving.
