A memorandum of understanding signed between Education Ministry and a Dutch organization in the field of training and rebuilding of schools

On December 5th, the Ministry of Education and the Dutch organization “ZOA” signed a memorandum of understanding to contribute to rebuilding schools and providing school equipment and to cooperate in the areas of training and awareness.

The memorandum was signed by the Ministry’s Director of Planning and International Cooperation, Ghassan Shagari, and the country director of “ZOA”, Massey Ariane Van Fleet.

Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabaa attended the signing of the memorandum.

The memorandum included items related to providing support and supplies to schools, implementing lessons to compensate for educational losses, training courses for teaching and administrative staff, carrying out health awareness campaigns for children, supporting adolescents to engage in vocational education, and providing psychological and social support.

It is noteworthy that “ZOA” is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to countries affected by conflicts and natural disasters. It includes target groups in general, refugees and internally displaced persons, and their host communities.
